Salam Mahmud: On August 16 at 5 pm, at the Bijoy Nagar Ornate Hotel (Three Star) Ballroom in the capital, at the joint initiative of Television Journalists Association of Bangladesh Tejab and Women and Child Skill Development Foundation, the 5th founding anniversary of Tejab, a discussion on the potential of the tourism industry in the economic prosperity of Bangladesh, Excellence Award-2025 and poetry festival, the awards were presented to late filmmaker Amjad Hossain, renowned Nazrul singer Ferdous Ara, prominent media personality Tashiq Ahmed and scientist poet Hasnain Sajjadi by Honorable Justice Sikder Maqbul Haque. Under the direction of Tejab Executive Chairman Md. Manjur Hossain Isa, former Senior District and Sessions Judge Dr. Md. Shahjahan Saju. Special guests included Engineer Iqbal Hossain Taposh, President of Forever Barisal and Barisal District Association in Dhaka, Poet Shahiduzzaman Prodhan, Dhaka University Teacher Professor Dr. Hamida Khanam, Member Secretary of Jubo Dal Dhaka Metropolitan North Sajjadul Miraj, Deputy General Secretary of Krishak Dal Central Committee Md. Mojifur Rahman Liton, Chairman of Women and Child Skill Development Foundation Lion Anwara Begum Nipa, Chairman of Communication of Bangladesh (Cab) Golam Faruk Majnu. The organization’s Secretary General, poet Ashok Dhar, delivered the welcome speech and TRAB Chairman and Ganakanth Executive Editor Lion Salam Mahmud announced the inauguration. Also at the event, prominent poet and writer Sharaban Tohura received the Tezab Excellence Award 2025 for special contributions in various fields, Md. Manjur Hossain Isa in presentation, Dr. Yasin Ali in medicine, Lion Salam Mahmud in journalism, Mahbubur Rahman Chanchal, SM Nasir in photojournalism, and Sanwar Khan in acting.
