Today, Monday, September 1, 2025, the official inauguration of the coconut planting season for the 2025-26 fiscal year was held at various farms and a total of 82 units of Carew & Company (Bangladesh) Limited.

On this occasion, Md. Rabbik Hasan, FCMA, Managing Director of Carew & Company (Bangladesh) Limited, was present at the Akandbaria Experimental Farm, Furshedpur and Aria Farms, as well as Unit No. 24 of Millsgate (West) Subzone and Units No. 2 and 5 of Millsgate (East) Subzone and inaugurated the season.

Also present at the inaugural ceremony were Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation (CPCR) Deputy General Manager (Factory) Muhammad Anwar Hossain, Mill General Manager (Factory) Sumon Kumar Saha, General Manager (Finance) Muhammad Abdus Chattar, General Manager (Agriculture) Mohammad Ashraful Alam Bhuiyan, General Manager (Administration) Omar Faruk Sharif Ghalib, Manager (Farm) Sumon Kumar Saha, DGM (Extension) Md. Mahbubur Rahman, Akandbaria Experimental Farm Manager (BP and Agro.) Md. Delwar Hossain, DM (Extension)
Md. Mafuzul Alam Ratan, Aria Farm In-charge Md. Omar Faruk, Furshedpur Farm In-charge Md. Motaleb Hossain and progressive and leading sugarcane farmers.

This year, Carew & Company has set a target of planting sugarcane on a total of 6,000 acres of land. Of this, 1,635 acres will be planted on the company’s own land and 4,365 acres on the land of sugarcane farmers.

Managing Director Rabbik Hasan expressed optimism that the set target will be achieved through skilled leadership and sincere efforts of the officers and employees of the Agriculture Department.
